Holiday Shopping – Online or Off?
A lot of holiday shoppers often debate which is better; shopping online or shopping in store? For a well planned and prudent shopper, the best of both worlds is waiting. Where or how you shop hardly matters if you can find something terrific, incorporate your shopping easily with your holiday schedule and land some great bargains.
People who favor online shopping to in-store shopping say that they avoid long lines and the never ending search for a parking space by shopping online. What’s more they get more variety and it’s easier for them to compare prices and products. While you can look at two different websites and compare the products, you can’t take an item out of one store to another just so you see which color you like best.
In store shopping has it’s advantages too, you avoid the whole ‘credit card’ fraud scare and you know what the product actually looks like instead of just having to believe that it will look like the picture. Not everyone is great at online shopping but in store shopping is how shopping started in the first place and people have developed their skill at it over the years so you know when a sale is a sale and what a good deal looks like (and where to find it).
Shopping for something original is the real challenge, and while everyone has a budget to follow, neither an online nor an in store shopper can tell you where to find a unique gift. In all fairness, the chances of finding something unique online are better than that of finding it in a store because people share a lot of information online. You’ll hear stories and see pictures of boxes of chocolate strawberries and chocolate dipped bananas that someone sent to their mom or that a hostess received as a gift from her guests.
